DESCRIPTION:We’ve all worked on an elevator pitch for our company\, but when we meet someone new\, one of the first things most people will ask is\, “What do you do?” First\, they really mean YOU…..not your company and not your department.  Second\, “What do YOU do” asks about what skills\, talents and abilities do we bring to our company or department. This is known as a Personal Branding Statement. \n\nOur Personal Branding Statement takes our strengths\, combines them with our interests\, and identifies our unique promise of value to our clients\, employees\, colleagues\, and other important contacts. \n\nIn this session we will craft our own Personal Branding Statement. \n\nIn doing so\, we will avoid using job titles and focus on our values.  For example\, instead of saying “I’m a Project Manager; (which could mean anything)\, we will tell how your people skills and interest in maintaining an efficient and clean  job site has assisted you  to achieve accolades in previous jobs while managing budgets\, timely progress or safety issues so that jobs are completed on time\, within budget and to the satisfaction of all involved.  As we talk\, we have to create a mental picture for our listeners of our success. \n\nLearn more about your speaker: \nDarryl Glick is a Master Trainer and Consultant for Dale Carnegie Training. In fact\, 2020 will mark Darryl’s 30th anniversary with Dale Carnegie Training! With clients that’ll  include the US Navy and Postal Service\, Darryl has an exceptional background in training folks across many sectors. Darryl offers numerous trainings and hosts 2-3 highly customized in-house HIP programs catered to Executive level employees and their attorneys every year. Darryl has a BS in Business Administration with an Human Resource Concentration and a BA in Psychology with a Counseling Concentration.
