Remember what happened on June 1? Our fossil fuel-crazed Whitehouse told the world to go burn and pulled us out of the Paris Accords. The real DC started to fight back when Mayor Bowser committed our city to uphold the Paris goals–but we need more than empty pledges. It’s past time to pass strong, equitable, economy-wide climate policy. What better way to prove that “We’re Still In” than win a carbon rebate policy in Washington, D.C.? This bold solution would hold big polluters accountable for wrecking our world, and equitably distribute the revenue back to every DC resident.
